Natural stone generally refers to natural marble and granite,Customer consultation to purchase marble or granite products,Stone manufacturers generally provide stone pictures,Stone price and specifications.

1: Classification of Stone:

Stone is divided into natural stone and artificial stone. Natural stone is divided into three categories according to geological classification: magmatic rock, sedimentary rock and metamorphic rock. Artificial stone is divided into cement artificial stone, polyester artificial stone, composite artificial stone and Sintered artificial stone.

2: The Technical Nature of Stone:

A: Compressive StrengthIt is a heterogeneous anisotropic brittle material. The average compressive strength of the stone standard sample is determined according to the test method specified by the standard, and the stone strength is divided into nine grades.

BApparent DensityIt is related to the mineral composition and porosity of stone. According to the apparent density, it can be divided into two categories: light stone and heavy stone.

Cwater ResistanceThe water resistance of stone is divided into three grades according to the value of its softening coefficient:

                                    High Water Resistance Stone: softening coefficient is greater than 0.9;

                                    Medium Water Resistant Stone: softening coefficient is between 0.7---0.9;

                                    Low Water Resistant Stone: softening coefficient between 0.6---0.7

DWater AbsorptionWhen the stone absorbs water, the strength is lowered, the frost resistance is deteriorated, the thermal conductivity is increased, and the water resistance and durability are lowered. The stone with a large apparent density has a small porosity and a small water absorption rate.

EFrost ResistanceThe frost resistance of stone is closely related to the water absorption rate. Generally, the stone with high water absorption has poor anti-freezing performance. In addition, the frost resistance is also related to the water saturation, the degree of freezing and the number of freeze-thaw cycles. In the case of water saturation, after the specified number of freeze-thaw cycles, if the weight loss does not exceed 5% and the strength loss does not exceed 25%, the stone is qualified for frost resistance.

3: How to Choose Natural Stone:

A: Slate: Slate is a rock plate of a certain thickness that is flattened or sawed with dense rock.

B: TilesStone for floor, pavement and courtyard trails.

CBlock: Stone is a hexahedral block that is manually chiseled or machined and has a relatively regular shape. According to the degree of surface processing, there are four types: wool stone; coarse stone; semi-fine stone; fine stone. According to the shape, it is divided into strips, slabs, arches (wedges). The material stone is mainly used for the foundation, the foot, the wall and the like of the building, and the semi-fine stone and the fine stone are mainly used as the veneer material.

DWool: Mao Shi refers to the irregularly shaped stone obtained from mining and unprocessed. The masonry is mainly used for laying foundations, angles, walls, retaining walls, embankments and slope protection of buildings, and can also be used for pouring slab concrete.

4: How to Choose High Quality Stone:

One View: that is, the surface structure of the stone is observed by the naked eye. In general, the uniform fine material structure of the stone has a delicate texture, which is a good stone; the coarse grain and the unequal grain structure of the stone have a poor appearance. In addition, due to the influence of geological effects, the stone often produces some fine cracks in it, and the stone is most likely to rupture along these parts, and should be removed. As for the lack of edges and corners, it is more important to affect the appearance, especially when choosing.

The Second Quantitythat is, the size specification of the stone, so as not to affect the splicing, or cause the pattern, pattern and line deformation after splicing, affecting the decorative effect.

Listen Three Timesthat is, listen to the sound of the stone. In general, the sound of a good quality stone is crisp and pleasing; on the contrary, if there is a slight crack inside the stone or the contact between the particles becomes loose due to weathering, the knocking sound is rough.

Four Teststhat is, using a simple test method to check the quality of the stone. Usually a small amount of ink is dropped on the back side of the stone. If the ink is quickly dispersed and leached everywhere, it means that the inside of the stone is loose or there is a gap, and the quality of the stone is not good. Conversely, if the ink is not moved in place, the stone material is good.

5: Suggestions for Buying Stone:

1. The stone has a radioactive certificate. Please ask the dealer when purchasing. Do not buy without a certificate, and at the same time, pay attention to the choice of Class A products for home decoration.

2. In marble and granite selection, marble should be considered first. Under normal circumstances, the radioactivity of granite is greater than that of marble.

3. Under normal circumstances, the consideration of stone should be black, grayish white, flesh red, green, red. From the perspective of radioactivity, from high to low, in order: red > green > flesh red > gray white
